Throttle Body Bypass kits
The LS1 and LT1 routes engine coolant through the throttle body to keep the throttle plate from freezing in extremely cold weather. Routing hot water through the throttle body yields hotter inlet air and lowers horsepower. GM stopped routing engine coolant through the throttle body on the LS2 motor for this reason. For every 10° drop in air temperature you realize a 1% horsepower gain, on a typical car with 350 H.P. even a small drop of 20° at the throttle body will yield a 2% gain of 7 H.P.
Installation
Installing the Throttle Body Bypass kit is very straight forward and simple we do provide step by step installation instructions with each kit. Our kit includes all of the following parts required, two clamps,two caps for covering the hose inlets on the throttle body, and the brass coupler for connecting the bypassed hoses
